Township of North Bergen Recreation Center and Library

Located at the intersection of John F. Kennedy Boulevard and 13th Street, the new North Bergen Recreation Center and Library is a contemporary, ground-up facility that unites the neighborhood’s residents through both indoor and outdoor programs, with a façade that successfully fuses fabricated, natural, and earthy materials.

The Center consists of five stories, including two levels of garage parking. Two floors of library spaces occupy the front section of the building, complete with a computer laboratory, classrooms, study areas, and multi-purpose community rooms. The rear section of the building houses a gymnasium and a fitness center, which feature an indoor basketball court with six hoops, a fitness classroom, an elevated jogging track above the gymnasium, and an outdoor exercise area.

A rooftop recreational field offers additional areas for community-related activities, including both soccer and football games.
