RSC In Action
Whether we’re dressed to impress for an awards dinner, gala, or holiday party – donning our RSC t-shirts for a charity event or fun – or kicking back in casual attire for a baseball game or company picnic – RSC’s staff infuses each event with a welcoming, friendly energy and a team-oriented spirit.
Creating Community
Giving back and supporting our local communities isn’t a one-time or scheduled event at RSC – it’s ingrained within our culture, and a continuous action to not just design for our communities but to serve within them.
We know that the designs we dream up, sketch out, and work so enthusiastically to make buildable represent more than our clients’ visions or our company portfolio. They’re woven into the fabric of our local neighborhoods – ones where we live, work, and connect.
That’s why we underscore the impact of our architecture on the community within the workplace, and collectively commit to supporting our beloved local organizations outside the office walls.
From running with our families and pets at Spectrum for Living’s Annual 5K and Doggie Dash – always led by John and Mary Capazzi – to annual food, toy, and coat drives for non-profit charities like Jersey Cares and Community Food Action, RSC’s call to action is to promote healthy, vibrant communities.
Advocates for Architecture
At RSC, we hold ourselves to high expectations and standards, and we are proud of the quality designs we produce in-office. We bring that same mentality to our extracurricular hobbies and passions – ones that advance the industry and allow our staff to craft their own professional development journeys while sharing their knowledge in creative, meaningful ways.
We lend our voices, expertise, and fresh ideas as leaders within regional, local, and national professional organizations – from the AIA and IIDA to SMPS, the USGBC, ASHE, CREA, and AMFP – by speaking at events, serving on boards, and advising on industry trends.
When we’re not leading and learning, we’re connecting and mentoring – guiding the next generation of A/E/C professionals through the ins-and-outs of the industry via the ACE Mentorship Program, SMPS Mentor Program, and AIA-NJ’s Emerging Professionals Community.
Our collective take-charge attitude, team-building nature, and creativity also shine during late night Canstruction builds that support local food banks and in-house charettes that elevate the caliber of our designs. We bring that same energy to client, staff, and planning board meetings, where we convey the impacts of our work, and cheer one another on at the many award galas we attend each year.
The RSC Impact
With a legacy exceeding fifty years, it’s no wonder that tradition is embedded within RSC’s day-to-day, with scheduled events sprinkled throughout the year that our staff can count on to connect, kick back, and unwind.
In the spring, you can find us serving up strikes and spares at RSC’s bowling night or cheering on our favorite local baseball teams, and when the weather warms up, we’re aiming to sink birdies and eagles at the RSC Open and running in corporate 5Ks. Our annual office picnic – the culmination of our summer season – brings cornhole, card games, and food trucks to RSC’s front door for a laid-back afternoon.
As the holiday season kicks into high gear, Halloween costume contests, pumpkin carving competitions, and ugly sweater parties round out the year, which ends on a special note – with RSC’s much-anticipated Holiday Party, where employees and their family members toast to the successes of the past year and anticipate what’s to come.
This intentional time we spend celebrating unites our staff in a deeper way that transcends just coworker relationships, creating the “RSC impact” – a synergy that is palpable both within and outside of the office. This bond is built on a shared trust, support, and an understanding that success is achieved together as a team – a team we continue to cultivate, invest in, and grow.
