RSC Architects has been working continuously with the Weehawken Board of Education for more than twenty years. In 2017, they passed a referendum for capital repairs and renovations throughout the District. The planned projects included a new media center, a new auditorium, new science laboratory spaces, a new rooftop hydroponics greenhouse, security upgrades, locker replacements, life safety improvements and upgrades, capital maintenance projects, and general interior renovations.

RSC assisted the District in preparing the existing conditions study, attended meetings with the District’s decision-makers, prepared construction costs estimates, and spearheaded the NJDOE approval process. All of these efforts led to the successful passing of the referendum in January of 2017.

Upon the completion of the referendum process, RSC provided Architect-of-Record services for the design and construction of the approved scopes. These projects were individually designed and packaged for their submission to the NJDOE for bidding and construction, with the work completed over a span of two years.

RSC continues to work with the Weehawken Board of Education and, subsequent to the completion of the 2017 referendum, our team has completed additional renovations within the District, including locker room and kitchen upgrades.
