RSC Architects’ design work has redeveloped and transformed West New York’s 120,000 s.f. Miller Park – the Town’s largest park – into a hub for community engagement, recreation, and relaxation, with thoughtfully-integrated and diverse spaces.
The park now incorporates a wide range of amenities, such as basketball courts, a splash park, a dog park, a mini soccer field, a community habitat garden, and various recreational areas for all age groups. Its thoughtfully-designed playgrounds are ADA-accessible, offer inclusive play opportunities, and consist of two distinct sections – one for children ages 2-5 and another for ages 5-12.
RSC’s scope of work encompassed site re-grading to improve accessibility, the resurfacing of the park’s existing basketball courts, and the addition of a new dog park, as well as a new circular shade pergola structure, new amenities and storage buildings, and a redesigned and fully-accessible outdoor seating area that enhances the park’s family-friendly appeal.
