Perched on the cliffs of the Palisades, the existing topography of Firefighter’s Memorial Park posed a unique challenge in the design of the area’s new water features.

RSC Architects creatively situated half of the site on-grade, reinforced by a steep retaining wall, with the other half of the park supported by steel columns hovering over a seventy-foot cliff and the Hoboken Viaduct.

The complex of pools within the park includes a regulation-size lap pool with spectator seating, a wading pool, and a water play area that showcases the spectacular views of Manhattan from the site. The public park area also incorporates a landscaped garden walk leading to a gazebo with seating that overlooks the dazzling scenery.
