Meeting the needs of this facility’s various users was paramount, and a thoughtful design solution was achieved through the creativity and collaboration of the Borough of Rutherford and the RSC Architects design team.
This three-story, 21,000 s.f. police headquarters was designed to support the Borough police department and municipal court, with an emergency operations center; officers’ and detectives’ offices; and departments that include dispatch, violations, and detainee processing. The facility is also compliant with the current requirements of the New Jersey Department of Corrections for transporting and processing detainees, as well as the Administrative Office of the Courts as it pertains to security provisions for judges and defendants.
