These outdoor classrooms within the Pitkin Education Center Student Quad are about 1,000 s.f., and they incorporate IT and AV capabilities, along with lighting for night-time use.
RSC Architects also provided the designs for the landscaping and the new hardscaping, as well as the furniture selections for the outdoor classrooms. All of the materials were chosen for sustainability purposes (i.e. indigenous plant life), which reduce maintenance requirements.
