The Township of Weehawken challenged RSC with creating an addition to their 114-year-old mansion-turned-library that would maintain its quaint character and historical details while meeting current standards.

The Weehawken Public Library is now fully-equipped with all current amenities, including computer stations and reading/study rooms. Its elegant interior boasts magnificent oak-stained doors and window trim, exposed beams, and an original stained-glass window within a winding staircase that leads to the library’s new, three-story, 5,700 s.f. main lobby – a hexagonal turret with conical slate peaks that complements the original structure.
