RSC Architects designed a 68,000 sf Bergen County Department of Public Works (DPW) maintenance complex at the current Mosquito Control property in Paramus, NJ. In addition to a new vehicle maintenance and storage garage, the facility features an administration building, a salt storage structure, a central fueling station, and an associated 450,000 sf accessory yard area. The project enabled the decommissioning of an existing DPW maintenance garage on Zabriskie Street in Hackensack. The project is the result of the Master Planning efforts by RSC to consolidate multiple sites and facilities within the DPW Department.

The complex serves multiple divisions within the DPW, including the Operations Department, Mosquito Control, Technical Schools, Environmental Services, and Hazardous Materials Division. To save time and money and in keeping with the complex’s functionality, the facility comprises pre-engineered metal buildings.
