RSC’s design of this new six-story, 74,000 s.f., LEED Silver STEM facility for Hudson County Community College emphasizes the collaboration and learning that occur amongst students and further illuminates the advantages of STEM studies.

This new building houses ten science labs, including microbiology, genetics, and engineering labs, consolidating and centralizing the STEM programs into one stand-alone location, while connecting to the adjacent science building. Its light-filled lobby and outdoor courtyard serve as common spaces for students to collaborate, and its main level hosts a multi-purpose room used for lectures and science demonstrations. Enclosed in a glass storefront system, students can view the expertly-designed laboratories from the central common areas.
